Fat Mike

What happened to "Iron Mike" I remember when I thought this guy was the toughest guy in the world hands down. You didn't want to get punched by this guy, now look at him. I guess nobody is immune to packing on unwanted weight.

Ok seriously I laughed out loud on this one. I think it is worth a view. To save you some time just know that it is a very boring, I guess, press conference about some player being suspended in the NHL. Anyways pick it up around the 2:00 mark where the guy is complaining about standing there answering questions.

Did you call in "Gay" today?

Yeah me neither, but I guess it was a popular thing to do today. I saw a few articles posted on the world wide web today about homosexuals uniting and trying to show "us" heterosexuals that they do matter or something like that. Good thing my only employee didn't call in gay. There would have been problems. First he is my brother in law and second I would have fired him. Good thing for everyone he isn't gay.

From an article on KSL.com I am reading this and wondering if we can get everyday to be a day without a gay. That would be great. The article.

Some employees might be calling in sick today, and not because of a cold or the flu.

Organizers call today "A day without a gay." The idea is for gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgenders to call in sick to prove they would be missed.

"Without the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender population of the country, infrastructure suffers greatly," said Doug Jennings with Utah Pride.

He does not know how many gays will stay home. But he knows it won't be easy to call in sick.

"Ultimately it's up to the individual. We think people understand what their work environments are like and whether they can take that kind of a risk with their employer," he said.

Gay students are urged not to call in sick.

Why November 4, 2008 is a bad day for America

This was posted on David Limbaugh's website

There's little doubt America is a center-right nation, which is why Barack Obama denies and conceals his liberalism and packages himself as a harbinger of hope and change.

Obama's policies represent change all right: change from almost everything our Founding Fathers considered sacred and vital to the preservation of individual liberty in America.

He also offers hope: hope for those who share his shame in what America has become, what it stands for and what makes it unique in world history. Hope that an unenlightened America can be remade by this "transformational" man in an image pleasing to George Soros, the Hollywood elite, MoveOn.org, the Daily Kos and Michael Moore.

But if labels bother you, let's look at Obama's alliances and policies and let them speak for themselves.

If you are so intoxicated with "hope" that you believe Obama wasn't aware of and not in sync with the Rev. Wright's militantly racist and anti-American views or his black liberation theology, then it's probably too much to ask for you to be objective about his links to Bill Ayers and ACORN.

Instead of restating Ayers' despicable actions and beliefs, I just want to know whether Obama believes Ayers has been rehabilitated, which he suggests when he touts him as "a professor of education." Though Obama says he was just 8 years old during Ayers' Pentagon-bombing days, he doesn't mention that he was an adult when he served on boards with Ayers, launched his state Senate campaign at his home, and gave a glowing jacket endorsement for Ayers' book. Nor does he tell you that just a few short years ago, Ayers stomped on the American flag and reaffirmed his pride in his criminal acts.

Concerning ACORN, what do you suppose the mainstream media would do to John McCain if an organization he represented, whose members he trained and who he promised would play a pivotal role in formulating his presidential policy agenda, were caught red-handed trying systematically to subvert the election process throughout America?

As for Obama's leftist policy positions and attitudes, how do you think the following would sit with most Americans?

His enabling of infanticide by arguing and voting against the Induced Birth Infant Liability Act in the Illinois Senate, which would have protected babies who survive failed abortions.

His support of open borders and driver's licenses for illegal immigrants.

His casual endorsement of Marxist redistribution of wealth.

His plan to let the Bush tax cuts expire, resulting in a massive tax increase for tens of millions, and his tax credits to tens of millions more not paying income taxes, all while fibbing that he's going to cut income taxes for 95 percent of Americans.

His plans to increase spending an estimated $1.3 trillion, not to mention the obscene dollars he would send overseas with the Global Poverty Act.

His condemnation of our liberation of Iraq from the brutal dictator Saddam Hussein in furtherance of our national security interests yet promising military interventions for humanitarian reasons where we clearly have no national interests at stake.

His opposition to the surge in Iraq and his plan to withdraw and jeopardize our imminent victory and the region's stability.

His reckless plan to embroil us in a quagmire in Afghanistan and agitate Pakistan, our important ally in the war on terror.

His naive commitment to negotiate with tyrants without preconditions.

His inclination toward unilateral nuclear disarmament.

His constant references to America's former greatness and his promises to restore our position of respectfulness in the world, betraying his full agreement that we've earned this supposed international disrespect.

His forfeiture of American sovereignty to international bodies in obeisance to the pantheistic religion of global warming.

His Kerryesque schizophrenia on guns and the Second Amendment.

His derision of small-town Americans as bitter clingers.

His thuggish approach toward those who dare to oppose him, such as Joe the Plumber, or anyone in St. Louis, whose criticism could have subjected them to criminal prosecution.

His outright mocking of the Bible while adamantly insisting he's a strong Christian: "Which passages of Scripture should guide our public policy? Should we go with Leviticus, which suggests slavery is OK and that eating shellfish is an abomination? How about Deuteronomy, which suggests stoning your child if he strays from the faith? Or should we just stick to the Sermon on the Mount – a passage that is so radical that it's doubtful that our own Defense Department would survive its application?"
Truthfully, I'm barely getting started. But can you honestly tell me Obama would have a prayer of being elected if he were honest about his agenda and allies and if the media, which share his radical views, weren't in the tank for him?

What? I am supposed to pay my mortgage?

I find it amazing that people don't realize they are supposed to pay their mortgage. I love how someone that is getting their house foreclosed says they are "paying" for AIG to go on retreats. From the story it sounds like he isn't paying anything. Otherwise he wouldn't be getting his house foreclosed.

Utahn calls foreclosure of his home ‘ironic' following government bailout

One local homeowner is feeling the bailout blues. He says American General, a subsidiary of AIG is foreclosing on his property despite receiving government help to keep the company in business.

Nick says he owns his own business, which has made it tough to refinance with another mortgage company. He can't afford his mortgage payment, but wants to keep his home.

He says he's tried to work with American General to keep his family there. "They've been so unrelenting and unwilling to come up with some arrangement that would serve both of our purposes," Nick said.

Nick finds it ironic since the parent company, AIG, just received billions of dollars in financial assistance, and workers have been taking retreats.

"I make the joke that if they're gonna go to those resorts, then I should probably be able to go with them since I'm the one paying for it," he said.

A local American General representative says the company works with all of its homeowners to rewrite loans, but adds there are some they just can't help.

Seriously?????

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A West Virginia man accused of passing gas and fanning it toward a police officer no longer faces a battery charge.

The Kanawha County prosecutor's office requested that the charge be dropped against 34-year-old Jose Cruz.

According to a criminal complaint, Cruz passed gas and made a fanning motion toward patrolman T.E. Parsons after being taken to the police station for a breathalyzer test. Cruz denies fanning the gas and says his request to use a restroom when first arriving at the station was denied.

An assistant says Magistrate Jack Pauley signed a motion to dismiss the charge Thursday.

Cruz, who was arrested Tuesday, still faces driving under the influence and other charges.

Halfrican American Part 1

The cup is half empty or the cup is half full? Depends on how you look at it. The man is half white or the man is half black? Depends on how you look at it? History is going to be made in November. We will have the first female vice president or we will have the first half black or half white president. I am not sure why Barack Hussein Obama is always referred to as the first African American president candidate. Someone please teach me!! He was abandoned by his African American father and raised by his Caucasian mother. Seems to me he would be more white than black but I guess I am naive or something.

Cool Story

My wife says I make fun of people too much on my blog so I thought this was a great story to pass along.
It wasn’t easy for Madeleine Robb to send an e-mail to another mom warning that her baby might have a deadly form of eye cancer. But she’s glad she did it — and so is the mother of 1-year-old Rowan Santos.
“I didn’t want to scare her,” Robb told TODAY co-host Meredith Vieira from London on Thursday. “But then I weighed out the options. If something wasn’t wrong, then no real harm was done. If something was wrong, I really had no option, so obviously I had to tell her.”
Just hours after reading the e-mail, Megan Santos of Riverview, Fla., learned from a doctor that Rowan has a potentially deadly form of childhood cancer called retinoblastoma.
Although Rowan will, unfortunately, lose her left eye, Megan Santos has called Robb, who hails from England, a “hero,” because the online diagnosis may have saved her baby’s life.
The two moms, who each gave birth to a daughter on the same day, spoke for the first time on the phone on Wednesday. But it was a newer form of communication, the Internet, that provided the vital information and the lifesaving link.

The guy in the middle wants peace!!!!

Go ARod. Love the tucked in T-Shirt!

Maybe a recessions isn't so bad.

Hey if it takes a soft economy to get our country back then I am all for it.

DALLAS — Illegal immigrants are returning home to Mexico in numbers not seen for decades — and the Mexican government may have to deal with a crush on its social services and lower wages once the immigrants arrive.
The Mexican Consulate's office in Dallas is seeing increasing numbers of Mexican nationals requesting paperwork to go home for good, especially parents who want to know what documentation they'll need to enroll their children in Mexican schools.
"Those numbers have increased percentage-wise tremendously," said Enrique Hubbard, the Mexican consul general in Dallas. "In fact, it's almost 100 percent more this year than it was the previous two years."
The illegal immigrant population in the U.S. has dropped 11 percent since August of last year, according to the Center for Immigration Studies. Its research shows 1.3 million illegal immigrants have returned to their home countries.
Some say illegal immigrants are leaving because a soft economy has led to fewer jobs, causing many laborers to seek work elsewhere.
Others argue that a tough stance on immigration through law enforcement has spread fear throughout the illegal population.
/**/

"There's no question there's a variety of suggestions that people are in fact returning," said Mark Krikorian, executive director of the Center for Immigration Studies. "Remittances, which is the money immigrants send home to Mexico, have gone down dramatically over the past year. Again, probably part the economy, but also part enforcement, leading to fewer people being here."
Advocates for immigrants are disturbed by the trend. Albert Ruiz, an organizer for the League of United Latin American Citizens, agrees that more undocumented immigrants are going home — but says families are being torn apart in the process.
If a father is deported, Ruiz says, his family members in America are forced either to fend for themselves or follow him to a country where they've never even lived.
"So the mother is saying we should return home with the breadwinner of the family to Mexico, and the children are saying, I don't want to leave, I'm a U.S. citizen, I don't know that country," said Ruiz.
Mexican President Felipe Calderon plans to help returning nationals by providing food, medical care and temporary shelter if needed. But reports are already out in Mexico that the large number of illegal immigrants returning home could drive down wages and put pressure on social services — the same concerns many Americans have with illegals living and working in the U.S.

Slanted eyes are funny????

Argentina soccer team members seem to think so. Really what would happen if the PC police took a vacation here in the US?

His leg must not have been too hurt!!!

BEIJING -- A Cuban taekwondo athlete and his coach were banned for life after Angel Matos kicked the referee in the face following his bronze-medal match disqualification.
Cuban coach Leudis Gonzalez offered no apology for Matos' actions.
Matos was declared the loser for taking too much injury time after hurting his leg during the men's over-80 kg (176 pounds) match against Kazakhstan's Arman Chilmanov. Fighters get one minute, and Matos was disqualified when his time ran out.
"He was too strict," Gonzalez said, referring to the decision to disqualify Matos.
Matos angrily questioned the call, pushed a judge, then pushed and kicked referee Chakir Chelbat of Sweden. Matos then spat on the floor and was escorted out.
Matos won the gold medal in this division at the 2000 Sydney Games, dedicating the victory to his mother, who died on the day of the opening ceremony. At the 2004 Athens Games, he finished 11th.
Cha Dong-min of South Korea won the gold medal in the 80-kg class, defeating Greece's Alexandros Nikolaidis 5-4 in the final.
Matos' tantrum followed a day of confusion on the mats.
Earlier Saturday, China's double gold medalist Chen Zhong crashed out in the quarterfinals after initially being declared the winner.
It was the first time a match result had been overturned since taekwondo became an official Olympic sport in 1990.

Spainards are Racist

Again something that shouldn't be funny but made me laugh. Spain's Olympic team decided to make fun of the Chinese by making their eyes look slanted. This was to get them pumped up for the the Olympics in Beijing and all the great Japanese food they will be eating.

Who wouldn't????

Kobe Bryant Says He'd Go to Italy For $50 Million
Not content to allow LeBron James to sweep up all the attention for his leaked interest in going overseas for $50 million, Kobe Bryant stepped into the fray yesterday from Beijing. Telling The Boston Globe that he'd go to Italy for $50 million a year. You know, sooner or later the NBA brass might have to acknowledge that Europe is a legit threat to their league. Or maybe they'll claim that Bryant was misquoted. Kind of hard when you see this quote:
“I’d go. I’d probably go,” said Bryant, during a USA Basketball press conference on Friday morning. “Like Milan or something like that, where I grew up or something like that… Peace out.”
Peace out? That's the kind of lingo that still kills in Italy. That and jeans that don't reach your ankles. Recall that Bryant spent much of his childhood living in Italy and speaks the language fluently. He also owns 50% of an Italian team. Is there finally a legit threat to the NBA salary cap?

OK I stole this from Deadspin but thought to myself, who wouldn't go play BALL in Italy for 50mill? I thought if Manny will play baseball in Iraq at his current $20mill salary “I don’t have any preferences. I could choose a team that offers me the best conditions or one in the chase for the postseason. I don’t care where I play, I can even play in Iraq if need be. My job is to play baseball.” An obvious no brainer for Kobe.

I actually laughed when I read this article. I don't think it was supposed to be funny and I am sure if it happened to me I would be upset. On the other hand quotes like this, "Our dogs were our children," said the 37-year-old Calvo, it makes me laugh.
